The request for an identifier for an operational unit is now made online on the site, filling in all the fields requested. It is possible at this stage to formulate a wish for an identifier of the unit concerned. However, this wish may not be confirmed by the AFIREV team: in this case, it will assign another identifier.
The process consists of 4 steps:
1st step: sending the request. An e-mail acknowledging receipt of this request is sent to the e-mail address of the infrastructure owner or the owner of the mobility services, as well as to the other e-mail addresses provided by the applicant for this transmission. If you are applying on behalf of an owner, remember to add your email address in the “Other recipients of confirmation emails” field! Otherwise, you will not receive the confirmation email.
It is possible to modify the request once it has been made, or to delete it.
2nd step: Examination of the request by the AFIREV team. Any additional information or details may then be requested by e-mail sent to the same addressees as the acknowledgement of receipt of the request. The applicant modifies or completes the information accordingly directly on the site, by identifying himself and entering the secret code which was communicated to him in the e-mails.
3rd step: booking of an identifier for the operational unit. When the application is validated, the applicant receives an email notification with a link for the payment of fees. This payment is normally made online by credit card (Visa, mastercard, american express…).
4th step: assignment of an identifier to the operational unit. After successful payment, the applicant receives a receipted invoice (automatically downloaded to the computer used for payment) and a confirmation email sent to the same addresses as the preceding mailings. The identifier prefix is published on the AFIREV website (section “List of assigned identifiers“) with the associated public information.
Where appropriate, the applicant can and must update the information associated with the identifier assigned to him by “Changing the information associated with the assigned identifier“.
He can also permanently delete this identifier and associated information. Be careful in this case, no object (charging point, charging station, mobility services contract) must contain this identifier as prefix!
